Bronwyn Scarf Kit (crochet)

Bronwyn is a delicate scarf using a variation of the Irish net stitch. Irish lace crochet has a very long and fine tradition dating back to the potato famine of 1845-1850. During the hardships of the famine years, Irish peasant families relied on their earnings from the crochet work done by their women. Fashion of the time delighted in the fine crochet collars and cuffs which were a great substitute for expensive European lace.
Bronwyn is a fine accessory for modern fashion made crocheted with rayon thread and crystal beads. Approx. 34 inches long.
