After a few delays of implementing the new program, due to upgrading our website to have the very latest technology and security, I am proud to announce that the new PUNCH REWARDS program is now operating, replacing the PUNCH POINTS VOUCHERS system. You MUST be a Registered Online User with your own Username and your own Password in order to gain Punch Rewards for being a loyal customer who purchases online.

It is ONLY for Online Website Orders, not for email, mail, fax or show sales. If you prefer not to have your Credit Card details accompany an online order, then simply leave that area blank and use the "On File" alternative we allow. You will then need to phone or fax your Credit Card details to us for the first time only, request we keep them "on file" elsewhere, then you may continue ordering online whenever you wish without having to contact us each time with those personal details nor filling them in online.

If you are not a Registered User, Punch Rewards will not be automatically allocated to your orders for future spending power. So, if you are not Registered, I suggest you do so now. Remember, this is completely different to being subscribed to our Newsletters. Also, simply because you've ordered previously, doesn't mean you are a Registered User. Do you log in with your own Username and Password when you visit my website? If not, then you're not registered.

I've changed the system over for several reasons:
The system allows bonuses for you on ALL your purchases, though the amount varies with some products, eg. If it's already on special, if it is a very low mark-up, if it's a bonus pack, maybe a clearance line etc. Every item on my website has been assigned a quantity of Punch Rewards and will automatically be assigned upon completion of your order, ie when it has been finalized and mailed to you.
The Punch Rewards system allows more flexibility and is certainly far simpler and easier for you to gain rewards. No longer will you need to keep copies of your paper Punch Points Vouchers either.
You, as a Registered User can keep track of your Punch Rewards and elect when to use them.
Punch Rewards may be used as a Cash Discount whereas the previous system wouldn't allow this.
They still may not be used at Shows though, they are ONLY for orders placed on our Website.
They have no use by date, so you may use them regularly or save them for as long as you wish.
Remember, we will still honour any outstanding PUNCH POINTS VOUCHERS.

"How to Use the New Specialty Rulers". I will explain how to use some of the new rulers to perfect your patchwork by using just the right tool for a specific need, making patchwork quicker, easier and certainly more fun. Of course, I add lots of tips and tricks along the way.

PLUS, our special guest from USA is Sandra Chandler from Just Curves. Sandra is the inventor of the fabulous Curve Master Presser Foot and she'll be conducting a hands-on Workshop on Wednesday evening from 5.00pm to 8.00pm teaching the marvels of sewing convex/concave curved blocks as easy as sewing strip piecing! This class is already booked out, but the organizers have kindly offered a second class on Friday evening (5-8pm) if sufficient can enroll at this late stage. So, if you've been disappointed on missing out, contact rebeccar@expertiseevents.com.au

Sandra will be demonstrating on our stand how to sew curves the easy way with her Curve Master Presser Foot. Imagine sewing Drunkard's Path blocks without pinning or quartering? Imagine sewing Dresden Plate blocks without appliqué?

I may be needing an extra person to assist us on our Show Stand and to help Sandra in her daily Trunkshow, so if you think you qualify and would be willing, please email me.

Now, if none of these suit you because you're not attending the Sydney Show, then maybe you could consider the Three Day Retreat being held after the show at our warehouse, The Rock.

Let me know and I can email you all the details. Teachers and Shop Owners, you really shouldn't miss out on this opportunity to learn Sandra's methods because you will then gain knowledge for ever so many different classes for your shop to keep you going all year with new ideas. Sandra emailed me this week after reading my circular to those who had expressed interest in the class…."if you want to, you can let them know that I will be bring a surprise gift for each participant in the form of a special acrylic template and fabrics to do a group friendship quilt among all our participants. Also, we will be touching on more blocks than what are mentioned in the class descriptions: Drunkards Path and many derivatives, Dresden Plate, Eveline's Whirling Dust Storm, Hexagon Orange Peel, Friendship Knot, Carolina Favorite and the special surprise, so they are getting even more than advertised."

Class 9 Carolina Favourite – The Just Curves Way with Sandra Chandler (USA)
5pm to 8pm Wednesday 11th June Fee: $60 (no kit)
Carolina Favourite is a simple American 4-patch block with lots of ways to arrange it. Four templates make this 16” finished block fast! Focus on cutting one or two blocks, then sew them with the Curve Master Presser Foot. Complete at least one block in class. Sandra will discuss the vertical symmetry concepts and techniques for you to explore after class. Templates and the Curve Master Presser Feet are available for use during class. Sewing machines will be provided but if you prefer to bring your own please do so. You will need to bring your own materials – a class requirements list will be provided.

After the show, Sandra will be tutoring a 3 Day Retreat for me at The Rock (near Wagga). Cost is $650.00 which includes 4 nights Twin Share Accommodation, all meals and 3 days tuition. Bookings are open now and I suggest you book early as it is bound to be a very popular Retreat but numbers will be limited. Requirements list will be available next week if you've already booked and deposits are requested now as confirmation please.

Patchwork, the Just Curves Way with Sandra Chandler from USA
Sandra is the inventor of the famous Curve Master Presser Foot and many may have seen her demonstrate on the various TV Shows you can now view on your computer. What we have planned is learning new ways for old favourites using Sandra's unique system of acrylic templates and the Curve Master Presser Foot.
Eg. Drunkard's Path, Tamed & Wild. Truly, I've never seen this block made so easily and it's not any method like you think.
Dresden Plate - No Appliqué. The Just Curves way eliminates all appliqué and creates blocks much quicker and more consistently. Even the centre circle is inserted, not appliquéd and all with no pinning of seams! Seems impossible, but true!
Hexagon Orange Peel. Make a block similar to Grandmother's Flower Garden but not the tiny pieces. Great when done as the photo shown here in a fussy cut manner like kaleidoscopes.
Friendship Knot - done in a similar manner to Double Wedding Ring but using the Just Curves way.

2. WHAT'S NEW

Please visit this part of our website as they are some fabulous new items being featured. The best sellers at present are the Toolless from France, the Gypsy Gripper and our own CD "Yesteryear" which is walking out the door I'm so pleased to say.

3. MADE IN AUSTRALIA

A great new CD from Sue Box Creations has been released called "Creative Little Homemakers". I usually offer $10.00 off the price for pre-release orders, but it all happened when I was in Perth attending their great Show (hello to all you wonderful show attendees and "my group" from Geraldton) so I shall honour that usual offer for Newsletter Readers only until Sunday 15th June. But, you must mention this Newsletter offer in the additional comments section of your website order.

Janny Primrose has released an absolutely beautiful new CD called "Elegance 2" as a follow up to her very popular previous CD "Elegance" and Elegance Quilt". This is superb value as has soooo many designs to stitch singly, grouping, making borders etc. Do take time to peep at this.

Ever so many other new things on the website so take some time, make a cuppa and go browsing!
I had one lady email me this week, "I have just spent the last two hours looking through your website. I had planned on doing some dusting and ironing, but alas got rather absorbed."
Bet many can relate to this!
Had another complaining email from someone telling me my website was "TOO GOOD and makes me waste too much time and too much money".
Can't please you all!

See how I go with this one then. I have 10 each only of Olfa 45mm Rotary Cutters and Olfa 18mm Rotary Cutters that have been returned from a shop, so have had their stickers removed, making them unable to be sold as "new" items even though they've not been opened. These are being offered to Newsletter readers only, so they're not listed on our website as a special offer. Yours for just $15.00 and $12.00 respectively.
