These brooches are darling miniature versions of the larger designs. Requiring approx. two hours each to make, these items make GREAT gifts or fete items. They are so quick to knit and so much fun to wear.
Each design is very similar in construction to its parent design and each includes a visual chart. (Speaking from experience, this is a great feature as it saves you forgetting where you are up to.) Each brooch requires approx. 10 to 18 metres of thread and 1 to 3 strands of beads. One ball of DMC Perlé 8 Cotton will make 4 to 8 brooches and one full hank of Czech Glass Seed Beads Size 11 is enough for 4 to 6 brooches (even more on Rose and Victoria as they require very few beads). Great projects for your left over thread and beads! The brooches themselves are decorative only, being too small to be functional. The purse frames do not open but each purse is truly a purse, with sewn sides and a top opening.
