Once in a while, something completely revolutionary comes along and the Quilt Halo is certainly just that.  Designed by Sharon Schamber (author, teacher and master quilter) the Quilt Halo is a 7 inch diameter stainless steel ring with a slightly tacky PVC coating.  It sits on top of your fabric for free-motion quilting or embroidery, that's what is different.

 

The covering of the Quilt Halo is rubbery to feel, allowing the Quilt Halo to grab the fabric, keeping it taut with minimal pressure, enabling the control needed for smooth sewing.

 

The Quilt Halo reduces neck and shoulder strain and is excellent for sufferers of carpal tunnel and arthritis.
