This
elegantly beautiful quilt is made without ever sewing two curved pieces
of fabric together. Child's play? You betcha! In 1999,
a fourth grade class made all the blocks for a twin quilt in a handful
of hours. This book by Arlene Koble provides complete step-by-step
instructions and yardages for a wide range of sizes and variations..
Here's how it is
made:
Cut fabrics and interfacing. Stitch 4-patch pieces.
Stitch interfacing to the fabric
Trim seam allowances. Turn
right side out.
Fuse appliqués to background square.
Zigzag stitch appliqués
to background.
Trim away excess interfacing
and 4-patch fabric.
Assemble blocks in rows and columns, Quilt and bind.

Color variation: Beachball. Details in book.

Bed
sizes are presented with the option of one narrow border or a wider triple
border. Twin sizes shown.
