Creative Sewing and Patchwork Retreats
|
Feel like a holiday? Why not treat yourself to a wonderful SEWING RETREAT for 3 days held regularly at THE ROCK (near Wagga), N.S.W. It is very therapeutic if you deserve something for YOU, whilst making some new friends with the same interests. It is a real FUN escape and very informative - you'll LOVE it!
These workshops are held at The Rock, the cost of our Machine Embroidery Retreats for 2013 is $800.00 (incl GST) for 3 days tuition and 4 nights, includes all meals, accommodation, fabric & stabilizers.
Now that is very reasonable!
See the workshop list above for the classes I teach. Please ask for further details of what you would like to learn in these classes. Most classes are designed for beginners and advanced, varying for each student. This makes it possible for students to attend some classes twice without duplication.

| The Machine Embroidery Retreats have proven to be a very popular addition. The girls who attended our first one in October 2003 are here showing off outside the Wagga Golf Club venue. We've received some rave reviews from these students, some of whom are returning for an advanced session. Why not join us at sometime yourself? |

During 2002 you may recall me telling you in one of my Newsletters about the wonderful day I had teaching a sewing group in Ridgley, Tasmania, in a fantastic Log Cabin. Below are some photos of a few jackets now duly completed after the class. Aren't they great? Notice the Log Cabin walls of this wonderful meeting place the girls have.

The group photo is the result of a class my friend, Robyn Miller from Sewknit in Launceston, did with them using a variation I supplied Robyn with of our Pleat Maker pattern called Jacobean Cushion . The leaves are appliqued pleated fabric and the flower is pleated pleats for a 3D textured look. To Robyn and the girls, congratulations, you've done well!

Members of the "Banana Patch" gathered together after a wonderful hands-on class held in November, 2002. Banana is a few hours west of Rockhampton, Qld. and I teach them something different every time I track north to Townsville. The girls made the Tulip Block shown at the top right of the sample quilt shown here. One student made another three blocks and put them altogether for a beautiful off-centred Table Runner. The Tulip Block is from Pam Bono's Block of the Month range.

These pictures are of a recent class held in my home. Students proudly showing their samples using Quiltsmart's Drunkard's Path Printed Fusible Interfacing. The second picture is of the Class in progress.
