Innovative Technique for Precise ¼” Binding There are many ways of binding a quilt and we all have our own preference, but Suzanne believed there had to be a way to apply a beautiful “machine” binding because she didn’t like a blind-hem or decorative stitching method, binding applied to the back and brought to the front. What’s worse, she hated hand sewing, so after years of searching, quite by accident, trying to “fix a problem binding”, she developed a technique to create a tight, traditional ¼” binding by machine. This innovative technique features lumpless seams and perfectly mitred corners.
Binding stitches are nearly invisible on the front and top-stitched on the back with remarkable accuracy and ease.
Note: This technique uses water soluble thread. You must be able to submerge your quilt in water to dissolve this thread.
