These new Titanium-Coated needles have an ultra thin coat of titanium nitride layered on the surface to extend their productive life by five to eight times that of conventional needles.
Size #80 is recommended for appliqué, piecing and quilting with fine threads such as Superior Threads The Bottom Line, Masterpiece, MonoPoly, NiteLite, So Fine, Vanish-Lite and Vanish-Extra.
Size #90 is recommended for embroidery, appliqué, piecing and quilting with medium-weight threads such as Superior Threads Glitter, Highlights, King Tut, Lava, Living Color, Metallic, Nature Colors, NiteLite ExtraGlow, Rainbows and SuperBrights.
Size #100 is recommended for embroidery, appliqué and quilting with 30 weight and heavier threads such as Superior Threads Brytes, Perfect Quilter & Poly Quilter.

Judy's Note: Topstitch Needles are definitely my favourite needle for metallic threads and heavier, decorative threads, so I'm excited to have them available now with a Titanium-Coating.
