Creative Uses for Timtex:-

Base for Free-Motion Machine Embroidery - use #90 needle
Machine Quilting - use as stabilizing base with a thick batt under the quilt top to create trapunto effect
Mounting Fabric/Quilt top to stretcher bars - sew Timtex strips to edges, pull & staple to wood
Controlling shape - use in place of batting to stabilize unruly wall hangings - machine quilt through all layers

Tips for using Timtex :-

Press with a cotton cloth to preserve surface texture
Press (steam-heat-pressure) to permanently set crease
Creases that haven't been heat set will press out
Sew or Fuse 2 layers for extra-firm shapes - keep fusible away from stitching to avoid "gumming" needles though
