Westalee SQSG - Scant 1/4" Seam Gauge
The Westalee Seam Gauge will enable you to position your sewing machine needle to a perfect scant 1/4” seam allowance.

Simply align the edge of the Seam Gauge with the right hand edge of the sewing machine foot you have chosen to use.

Lower the presser foot, do NOT run the sewing machine so keep your foot away from the foot control!

Lower the needle by turning the hand wheel manually, adjusting the needle position until the needle enters the slot in the Seam Gauge.
Judy's Note: Not all sewing machines have an accurate 1/4" seam allowance foot and, indeed, quilters prefer and need to sew with a scant 1/4" seam allowance, so this tool allows you to test and adjust your own machine for absolute perfection.
