The Westalee Epsilon Star Setter allows easy making of the traditional 8 Pointed Star, one of the most popular pieced blocks made by quilters. However, this adjustable ruler offers so much more.
With the Epsilon Star Setter you may create not only the much loved Le Moyne Star in sizes 2" to 18" but also allows you to change the diamond to a Harlequin, Split or Striped look. It also allows the choice of making 8 pointed stars with or without "Y" seams.

Judy's Note: Why the name "Epsilon"? "Epsilon" is the 5th Letter in the Greek Alphabet, but did you know "Epsilon Aurigae" also was a "Star System"? Quoting from Encyclopaedia Brittanica: "
Epsilon Aurigae, binary star system of about third magnitude having one of the longest orbital periods (27 years) among eclipsing binaries. It is located an estimated 2,000 light years from Earth in the constellation Auriga. The primary star is a yellow-white star about 135 times the size of the Sun. The secondary star, once thought to be thousands of times the size of
the Sun, is a hot main-sequence star surrounded by an immense disk of gas that eclipses the primary for two years.
