Quiltsmart's Apple Core is the easy approach to this normally more difficult quilt pattern, because their printed fusible interfacing is really applique.

8 panels will make a Lap Quilt 59" x 75" or two Small Baby Quilts 41" x 49" 

No curved piecing! Stitch on the solid line, trim on the dashed line. Turn right side out and finger press. Fuse to the background fabric then tiny zig-zag stitch in place.

The Gypsy Sit Upon ™
This has proved to be a Godsend for my mum. She is elderly and quite frail and thin. She is so thin that her bones leave marks on the couch where she sits and sitting for long periods is very painful for her. We've tried many cushions, but none has been as good as this. She uses it all the time and it's made such a difference to her comfort. Wonderful product.
