Merry Christmas Everyone,

Christmas is a very special time of the year for so many reasons.  I hope you have the good fortune to be spending it this year with your loved ones as we will be.  Family and true friends - what a strength they are to us every day of the year!  It is this time of the year that we seem to appreciate them more and say thank you with a gift.  May I suggest you spare a thought also for those who find this time of the year quite lonely, so go out of your way between now and Christmas to think of someone in need and offer them a surprise gift "just for".  You'll be the one rewarded with a deep Christmas spirit feeling.

May LOVE, JOY, PEACE & GOODWILL be your GIFT this CHRISTMAS.

Your friend,

Judy

Remember, there will be no mail despatched now until late next week.

We are spending Christmas with our family at Melinda's house this year and are all looking forward to this, particularly because it is the first year we've been able to have Christmas Day at her house.  A friend commented today that our Christmas should be magical this year because we had a "nearly three-year old" grandson to share it with and at that age everything about Christmas is most certainly "magical".  Their eyes tell you so!  Yes, we've been good, in fact, very, very good............

There's still time!  A reminder that if you need a special gift I will still be able to process a Gift Voucher  right up until Christmas Eve.

I had been searching for quite some time to find a company I felt could deliver all the flexibility that I desired as I particularly insisted upon having true postage added as well as offering so many payment options for you to choose from, knowing how so many returning customers prefer the "On File" option.  So, next time you place an order, you will note a very slight change in the system.

To each reader - a big thank you for your continued support during 2010 and for all the friendships and lovely emails I receive constantly but especially at Christmas time.  I reply to each one, but forgive me over the next week if those replies are not as instant as you are accustomed as we endeavour to unwind from a very busy year.

Last week I received a ecard from a customer/friend and I'm sure she will not mind me sharing it with you because it was so clever and quite different to the usual Christmas ecards and I really loved it.

I purchased some Christmas gifts from a great Australian company commenced by two vivacious young Queensland Mums writing recipe books using only four ingredients - definitely for those on the go.  In one of their books is an excerpt from the book, "All I Really Need To Know I Learned in Kindergarten" by Robert Fulghum.  My Christmas Newsletter wouldn't be such without a lovely story and though this isn't a Christmas Story this year, I did feel it quite appropriate in making our world a better place to live in as we so desperately continue to seek Peace in our troubled world.  I hope you enjoy and give thought to this wonderful message.

All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be, I learned in kindergarten.  Wisdom was not a the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sand pile at school.

These are the things I learned:

  • Share everything
  • Play Fair
  • Don't hit people
  • Put things back where you found them
  • Clean up your own mess
  • Don't take things that are not yours
  • Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody
  • Wash your hands before you eat
  • Flush
  • Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you
  • Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some
  • Take a nap every afternoon
  • When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together
  • Be aware of wonder.  Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that
  • Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die.  So do we
  • Remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK!

Take any one of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm.

Think what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world - had cookies and milk at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap.  Or, if all Governments had as a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess.

It is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out in the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together!

http://www.4ingredients.com.au/     Kim and Rachael, well done!

A reminder that our usual JANUARY WEBSITE'S 10TH BIRTHDAY will again be commencing on January 1st.  All the details are on my website and please remember you MUST visit each and every day and order ON that day, not place items into your wishlist.  You do need to order right there and then.  Changes each day at 8.00am Daylight Eastern Standard Time for Australia.  I hope you receive lots of $$$$ in cards this Christmas because I have assembled some wonderful specials for you.  Loads of fun and excitement, please join us.

(Little Footnote:  3 little chicks were hatched earlier this week and so far so good)

Take care, travel safely, enjoy Christmas - hold hands and stick together!

from Judy, John & Staff - Brenda, Gloria & Kim

Till next time,
Judy
