Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note, not the normal long Newsletter since it occured to me that some may not have visited my website since the January Website's Birthday Specials finished so may not know the winners of the Lucky Draw which were displayed on 1st February.

The Winners are............

Jacquie Withers of Mt. Evelyn, Vic. was the 1st Prize Winner to receive $100.00 and her comment was:  "Thank you for your wonderful birthday specials during the month of January.  Loggin on and seeing what surprises are behind the birthday cake everyday is exaclty the same as receiving a months worth of birthday presents to unwrap slowly, one each day.  It has also meant I have a terrific head start on next years Christmas present list.  Winning the Lucky Draw has meant an early birthday present for me as it is my birthday in February.  Thanks once again.  Jacquie"

Shelley Macchiusi  Samson, W.A. was the Runner-Up and has already decided what she wanted with her $50.00 prize.  Shelley said: "What a lovely surprise!  Thank you so much!  Can't wait to tell all the girls at quilting on Thursday morning.  Again, many thanks, Shelley."

Thank you to everyone who participated.  It exceeded last year and from the comments I've received from everyone you had so much fun, some spent too much, some were stronger than I could believe!  We should have finalized all orders within a couple of days now.  It's been a mammoth task for us all and the staff are glad it's only once a year.  I appreciate the patience you've shown in waiting for your orders. 3/4 of them have been mailed.

Late January, John and I flew to Qld. to spend a few days with friends west of Rockhampton. Visit my NEW Blog to read and see what we got up to.  http://www.punchwithjudy.blogspot.com/  Make sure you visit my blog regularly if you like to know what we're doing and for all the quick updates to do with business as well as our personal news.  The Newsletter will continue to have all the relevant information to do with new products, specials, shows, tutorials and each of the topics you've been accustomed to receiving.  You need to have BOTH.  Please let me know your comments re either as I'm always willing to oblige with what YOU want.

I asked my friend if she had her time over again, what would she change?  She asked me too.  I replied that I would've liked to have had some letters after my name so I could say I was a "such and such" but I never did go to uni or the likes.  This week she sent me the most appreciative email saying "I was thinking about what you said about you would have liked to have some letters after your name so I am giving you some. TSOSS.  ( Terrific Shower of Sewing Secrets ) I think of all the things you have shown me & thousands of other people so I think you have left your mark everywhere. I think you have done very well without the letters. So I hope you like your new letters awarded by the mad lady from the north."  Aggghhh, what a pal!  Isn't she a gem?  As mad as a March Hare, but I love her.

Here's Charlie, our new pup which is a shadow to John and just loves her ride on his quad bike.  Yes, I know, "Charlie" is a girl but John said it was a fine name for a dog!  If you wish to see Rhoda with her new chickens, visit my blog.  I also have photos of all the wonderful craft/sewing items my granddaughters made with me when they visited in January.

Show season starts for us this coming week, so if you're attending Newcastle, visit my website to read what classes we have in store for you and don't forget to print off your Show Coupons.

Continue now reading this smaller than usual Newsletter.....

Happy Sewing,
Your friend,

Judy

Are you visiting the CraftExpo at Newcastle Entertainment Centre next week?  Visit my website for full details of the daily Seminar, Make-It-And-Take-It and the Discovery Desk.  You may wish to book early for the hands-on class.

If you would like any order brought to the show, please let me know before Monday 15th February please.  We have a few changes for the Shows this year and some products we will not be bringing and others will be limited.  John has made 4 new roll-on units and this means some other things simply won't fit on the stand.  Machine Embroidery Stabilizers, some Machine Embroidery CDs, some patterns to name a few.

Don't forget your Show Coupons too. Print them and collect your discounted products or receive your FREEBIES.  Too good to miss.  No coupon, No Offer.

If you'd like full details of what's on at the CraftExpo, then visit http://www.thecraftexpo.com.au/

2. RETREATS

Machine Embroidery Retreat will be held from 17th - 19th September, 2010.

I know it's early, but we have so many already definitely coming, if you are considering this Retreat, please tell me now.  I am asking for a confirmation with a deposit of $100.00 by 1st April so as if I need to arrange a second Retreat following, I have plenty of time to organize same.

If you own a computerized machine embroidery machine, this is a must! Everyone learns so much whilst having a great time with other fellow enthusiasts. What we've done with this particular Retreat is update it completely with many new Projects.  The industry is advancing in leaps and bounds, so we've taken on board lots of new Stabilizers & Techniques, mainly because I've just written a long editorial for Machine Embroidery Magazine entitled an Update on Stabilizers.  We will be supplying you with designs to upload so as everyone will come to the Retreat fully prepared so as ALL the time will be spent sewing and learning.  Anyone who has attended one of our previous ME Retreats held over the last 5 years, this is different with no repeat projects.  More to be added, but view full particulars on our Retreats section.

3. ONLINE CLASSES

It became obvious to me during Show Seminars I held recently that many customers had purchased Pleaters but were not using them to their fullest versatility, plus, many more customers did not understand the concept of using pleats for so many crafts.  So, I've been working on some Online Classes for you over the last 12 months and I'm now ready to launch these, sharing not only how to use your Pleat Makers, but to expand your creativity with them.  These classes are designed to lead you from how to use the Pleat Maker properly to a whole new world of excitement for their use.  Full details and enrolment will be available later this week on my website. But because I'm so excited about these, thought "my subscribers" should be the first to know!

5.  VALENTINE'S DAY - 14th FEBRUARY

    LOVE IS IN THE AIR..........??

Do you think Hunter (our youngest Grandson) is understanding what his first Valentine, Grace, is whispering to him?  He doesn't look impressed anyway and is pouting!

Our eldest Grandson, Reece, received his Driver's Licence this week - congratulations to his efforts,  Now we Grandparents have become "worried worts" but he's a sensible teenager.

Now for some fun: To help celebrate VALENTINE'S DAY, upon which day we were engaged so many years ago, I thought I'd list some products we have that have a HEART in them somewhere or other.  If you purchase any of these products between now and Monday 15th February, then I will deduct 25% off the price IF you type VALENTINE in the additional comments section of your order.

Clover Sweatheart Rose Makers - any size, Clover Heart Yo-Yo Maker - any size, Country Heart Tote Bag Pattern by Orange Peel, Heart to Heart Pattern by Southwind Designs, Hearts A'Flutter Table Collection by Southwind Designs, Angel in Flight Pin, Country Patched Heart Pin, Heart in Hand Pin, Hearts in Bloom Pin, Red Patched Heart Pin.  If you can find any other product with a Heart on it, then simply email me and I will oblige.
