Scrappy Lazy Star Table Runner

Materials:

Lazy Angle Ruler
Lazy and Lovin' It Book
3 coordinating fat quarters - 2 for background, one for the star
Batting and Backing

Method:

Cut 2 strips 6 1/2 by 20 inches from each background fabric. Total 4 strips.
Cut 2 strips 6 1/2 by 20 inches from star fabric.

Cut six right face "A" from each background fabric. Total 12 "A" pieces.
Cut 12 Right face "B" from star fabric.

Refer to image below for shapes of "A" and "B" pieces.

Practice square: There should be enough left over from these strips to cut another "A" and "B" piece. You may need to cut the "A" from the star fabric and the "B" from the background but this is just a practice, so it won't matter.

Use 1 "A" and 1 "B" piece to make a practice block. If the top edges of the block meet, the alignment is correct. If it is off, use the test block as a guide to make any adjustments to the piecing alignment.

Refer to image below for piecing of Lazy Angle square.

Continue making the remaining 12 blocks. Arrange the blocks final assembly and sew to each other. Make three Lazy Star blocks from Page 16 in the book. Sew the three blocks together. Layer and quilt as desired.
