What size quilt can I hang using your product?

The “hang it dang it #2135 extends from 21” to 35”. The smallest quilt that will fit on this hanger is 21” and the largest is about 45”. Many quilts can extend past each end by about 5 inches and still hang straight and level.

The “hang it dang it #3563 extends from 35” to 63”. The smallest quilt that will fit on this hanger is 35” and the largest is about 73”. Many quilts can extend past each end by about 5 inches and still hang straight and level.

Do I need a special nail or hook?

You don’t need any special nail or hook to hang a quilt using our hanger. A very small nail of any kind about 1 1/2” long will do for most quilts. 3M makes a sawtooth picture hanger #17040 with command strips that works perfectly with our quilt hanger on many size quilts and you wont have any holes in your wall.

How do I attach a sleeve to my quilt?

There are a couple of ways to put a sleeve on your quilt. You can purchase a premade one such as the Quilters Hangup or you can make one using these instructions at AQS publishing BlogSpot

How is the hang it dang it faster and easier to use?

All quilt hangers currently on the market require two or more nails, hooks, clamps, magnets, Velcro, etc. that need to be leveled, measured and aligned with one another in order for the quilt to hang straight and level. The hang it dang it only needs one hook or nail to hang your quilt straight and level. This eliminates all the tools and time it used to take to hang your quilt. Anyone can hang a quilt using the hang it dang it, usually in less than a minute.

How does it work?

The hang it dang it quilt hanger slides into a sleeve sewn onto the back of your quilt. The hanger bracket snaps onto the hanger rod using a powerful neodymium magnet located in the center of the hanger rod. Hang your quilt on the wall using one nail in the center.

How is it self-leveling?

By using only one hanger bracket attached to the center of the hang it dang it, your quilt will balance itself naturally.

How can it hold so much weight?

The hang it dang it uses a powerful neodymium magnet, along with a patent pending hanger bracket that will hold up to 40 pounds.

Will it damage my quilt?

The hang it dang it is guaranteed to not damage your quilt in any way. Your quilt is evenly supported along the entire top edge by the hanger rod in the sleeve. The hanger bracket holds the sleeve to the hanger rod with the same even pressure every time.

What if my quilt is out of square or heavier on one side than the other, how will it self level?

The hanger bracket can be moved slightly to the left or right of center to bring your quilt into level. If you find that after hanging your quilt, the top is straight, but the sides or bottom do not look right, you can adjust the hang it dang it to one side or the other to fudge the difference.

I have young children, won’t it be easier for them to pull my quilt off the wall?

In our experience, the hang it dang it is less likely to be pulled off the wall by young children. Your child can pull on your quilt and move it around quite a bit with out pulling it off the wall, when they let it go it will settle back to hanging straight and level.
