You will use the Speed Gauge for most repeat cutting. It eliminates much of the measuring needed when cutting fabric pieces. The Speed Gauge allows you to quickly cut identical strips and squares up to 5".

Slide the Speed Gauge to align the mark at the desired measurement. Align the outer edge of the Speed Gauge with the edge of the fabric.
Cut along the edge of the Cutting Guide.
Move the Cutting Guide and align the Speed Gauge to the previous cut.
Cut another strip.

Setting the Speed Gauge for 45° cuts.
Move the Cutting Guide to the left 45° position. Loosen the knob and reposition the Speed Gauge in the 45° slot.

The Speed Gauge can be used for cutting odd dimension strips, squares, and rectangles. The Gauge may be used when the Cutting Guide is placed at the 45° position for triangles and for cutting bias strips for half-square triangles.
