Hi Everyone,

A quick News update announcing the WINNERS of our JANUARY 10TH WEBSITE BIRTHDAY SALE!

A very busy month or so with January Sale orders being mailed every day.  I ask for your patience and co-operation.  I thank you for your support all last year and my Sale Offers were my way of expressing my appreciation of your membership to my Newsletters.

LUCKY DRAW WINNERS ARE:

Everyone who was part of our Birthday Sale by purchasing on any one day during January from our Celebration Offers, went into the Lucky Draw for the ......
Main Prize of $150.00 Spending Spree on ANY items throughout the entire website;
Runner-up $100.00 Spending Spree;
Third Prize $50.00 Spending Spree.

1st Prize Winner: Bev Lane from Tathra on the South Coast of NSW.  Bev is currently attending both our Westalee Mystery Quilt Online Class  AND the Pleat Maker Online Class  so I guess that's where the money will be spent.  Bev emailed me: Judy still in shock and wondering if you made a mistake. Talk about being bowled over by such good news. I won't have any trouble in spending the wonderful prizemoney you have generously given to me.  I am overwhelmed and shocked as I am not usually very lucky with winning prizes. Thank you so much and special thanks to 'HIM' for pulling my name from the barrel.  Cheers Bev
Well done Bev.

2nd Prize Winner:  Val Dale from The Gap, Qld.  Val is quite a regular shopper with us so I'm delighted I've been able to return some pleasure. As has Bev above too.
Val emailed me:  Wow! What a surpprise! I'll have to have a big think about what to spend it on.  Thank you Judy

3rd Prize Winner: Elsie Daxon from Armadale, W.A.  Elsie has emailed me absolutely delighted and appreciative of her luck.  Elsie ordered on several days during January.

Congratulations to all and thank you each and everyone for participating in our Celebration Month.

Happy Sewing,
Your friend,

Judy

1.
SHOWS

Sydney's Craft Expo is this year to be held at Rosehill Racecourse from 10 - 13 March.  A "move" applauded by all.  Find us on Stand 117.  Tell your friends and make sure you tell them that this is NOT the same show as was last held at Rosehill Racecourse because the "Stitches" Shows no longer exist.

My daily workshop at the Show is at 1.30pm in Seminar Room 1

"Embellishments - Flowers, Frills, Trims & More!"   In this session I will show you some exciting ways to embellish your clothing, quilts, wall hangings, jewellery, home decor and other craft projects.  There are several new trim ideas and some new "fun" tools to play with.

Liz is tutoring a one hour Make it and Take It Hands On Workshop in Room 1 at 11.30am using Clover's new Flower Frill Templates to make a flip-and-fold beautiful flower than resembles a Carnation I think .  I'm happy to take pre-show bookings - Cost is $20.00 which includes Template and Fabric.

Do you like making bags?  We have some great tips to share with you in the Discovery Desk 15 min segment at 12.45pm.

If you would like any order brought to the show, please let me know before Monday 7th March.

Don't forget your Show Coupons too. Print them and collect your discounted products or receive your FREEBIES.  Too good to miss.  No coupon, No Offer.

2. RETREATS

Machine Embroidery Retreat will be held from 10th - 12th September, 2011 plus another on 16th - 18th September, 2011.  If you own a computerized machine embroidery machine, this is a must! Everyone learns so much whilst having a great time with other fellow enthusiasts.

Learn from our special guest tutor and myself, how to get the best from your investment.
This is a completely revamped Retreat, so will be suitable for the beginner, the advanced and for those who've previously attended our Machine Embroidery Retreats. Call it an "Update" if you like because we'll be using new products and techniques that have now been developed with the popularity of Creative Machine Embroidery. We will certainly again cover correct hooping, choice of correct stabilizers, threads & needles, exact placement and how to use various accessories and software available because these are essential for perfect embroidery.

Suitable to all brands of machines and for the novice to the expert.  View full particulars on our Retreats section.

Past Students, particularly those who have already expressed interest in this year's classes, will you kindly confirm your participation and in which Retreat, so as I may then determine how many places I may fulfil wit new students.
Deposits of $100.00 are now being requested from NEW and PAST students since both of these Retreats will fill quickly making it necessary for absolute confirmation.

3. ONLINE CLASSES

PLEAT MAKER ONLINE CLASSES with Judy Hall commenced on 1st February but you may still join RIGHT NOW.   Six lessons , issued fortnightly on 1st & 3rd Monday of the month - giving students ample time for class exercises, projects, experimenting and communicating with others via our chat group.   Cost is $65.00

These lessons will take you through from how to use your Pleat Maker correctly, manipulating your fabric, having fun with frills & trims, flowers & embellishments and using your Pleat Maker for patchwork.   Come join me on a wonderful path that will change your sewing ideas forever!

Do have a peep at our new Student's Gallery for Pleating and you'll most certainly be inspired with what a Pleat Maker can achieve.

WESTALEE MYSTERY SAMPLER QUILT ONLINE CLASSES commenced also on 1st February and students may join at any time up to 1st June.  This class has taken off with a huge leap and the girls doing it are already very chirpy on the Yahoo Group chit-chat and are enjoying a healthy State by State challenge between themselves.

One of the repeated comments is:  "My accuracy in patchwork has improved immensely since using the Westalee Rulers, just love them!"  Not once, but over and over.

Expressions are now being accepted for our new Curve Master Online Class scheduled to commence 1st June, 2011.  We already have numerous enrolments and I'm sure this class will be an absolute runaway.  Sandy and I are presently preparing these lessons.

Another Punchneedle Online Class will be scheduled asap.

4.  JUDY'S BLOG

Last Newsletter  in my "Golden Oldies" and in my Australia Day Blog,  I mentioned how good I thought a particular product was that I used mine all the time.  One Subscriber asked if I could also give some more "personal" acclaims to other products that I myself use regularly.  She stated that if she hears of someone else's own personal tips that she's more like to take note and also likes to hear what others think.  I can't do that within Newsletters but I can within my Blog because you are able to post comments about any articles.  Therefore, I will make more attention to doing same in future Blogs.  I wil be posting another Blog tomorrow.  Remember that you may subscribe to that so as an email is sent to you everytime I update my Blog.

You may also give comments on various products on the actual Website you know.  Under each product there is a section for you to contribute your findings about that product.  It sure helps others determine if that product would suit their own needs.  Please use that function more often.

As I said, a short Newsletter this time simply making some announcements.

Little Footnote:  Do any subscribers use the program "In Design" from Adobe?  Please email me.

Till next time,
Judy
